OUR SOLUTIONS
We believe Chester County is not a lost cause.
There are many opportunities to solve the budget crisis in our community.

SOLUTION #1
Cut wasteful spending.
We believe there are numerous opportunities to reform — including instituting a first-ever Independent Review Board, comprising of representatives from every township, borough, and city.
This would provide the ability to set checks and balances on the budget approval process of the county, resulting in more oversight and accountability.

SOLUTION #2
Eliminate unelected leadership positions.
Chester County's leadership seems intent on adding ever more layers of non-elected officials to run the government, in stark contrast to our ideals.

By eliminating the new "executive" branch, we can save hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars per year.

SOLUTION #3
Ensure payroll spending is kept in check.
By requiring payroll spending stay below taxes collected, we can save substantial money.

This would result in a payroll reduction of $8m in the current 2025 budget.

SOLUTION #4
Require contracts to go through competitive bidding.
We want to end cronyism at the county level and would end the exemption for large law firms, who often bill the county in excess of $5m per year.

SOLUTION #5
End waste, fraud,
and abuse.
We are aware of the controversies surrounding mismanagement and corruption in the
prothonotary's office.

Creating barriers to financial abuse, like reducing access to employee credit cards, will save money.

SOLUTION #6
Restore trust to
public office.
With a slowing tax base, accumulating debt, and the end of Covid-era grants, it is essential that we look forward to a smaller government that is held accountable to the needs of the taxpayer. We do not want to turn Chester County into a tax-and-spend, bloated, inefficient county.
