JOE LORUSSO

Beyond his professional background, Mr. Lorusso has dedicated himself to serving his community. He co-founded groups that saved woodlands from clear-cutting, protecting our natural spaces for future generations. He also established a public advocacy group in Malvern focused on overseeing the budget and pushing for efficient, effective government. These efforts reflect his commitment to fiscal accountability and community well-being.

 

On a personal note, he is a proud Papa to four wonderful grandchildren and has been happily married for 45 years. In his spare time he still laces up his skates to play ice hockey, a passion that has kept him connected to the camaraderie and spirit of teamwork that he values deeply.

The role of Controller is critical to ensuring transparency and financial stewardship in our county. Mr. Lorusso is running because he believes Chester County deserves a leader who will prioritize smarter financial practices, reduce waste, and safeguard taxpayer dollars.
